TV aerial and Satellite Dish removal
At TV Aerial Removals & Recyclers we dispose of your old TV Aerials and Satellite Dishes through a network of Scrap Metal Recycling plants. We do not encourage disposing of TV aerials in you normal rubbish as they just end up being put in a landfill. We can also remove a large Satellite Dish from your property. Once the removal has been completed, any holes are sealed to ensure your roof is water tight.
The Great New Zealand Digital Switchover
New Zealand’s analogue television signal was finally switched off on 1 December 2013. Since then, we’ve been busy `cleaning up’ and `recycling’ all the old analogue aerials left from over 60 years of installations…. that’s a lot of aerials.
Remove unused TV Aerials
Now that New Zealand has switched over to Digital TV you won’t need your old analogue VHF TV aerial (spider type aerial). If you have Freeview you’re likely to be receiving your digital service through a UHF terrestrial aerial (that’s the pointy one). If you have Freeview and Sky, you’re likely to be receiving both digital services through a satellite dish. In either case your old analogue aerial is redundant and surplus to your requirements. Rather than leave it to rust away on your roof please consider the environment and recycle it. If you are unsure about what tye of aerial you have we have a page you can refer to here: https://tvaerialrecyclers.co.nz/nz-aerials/ .
